Begin with permission and conditions

Review your lease or building rules before attaching anything to walls, railings, roofs, or shared areas. Confirm that the light is rated for the intended environment, and keep electrical components away from water unless the instructions explicitly allow exposure.

Map the space after dark

Identify the table, doorway, step, or path that actually needs light. A single focused source may work better than spreading decorative lights across the entire area. Avoid aiming bright light into neighboring homes.

Check the no-wire details

• Where can the solar panel receive useful daylight?
• Is the cable long enough without crossing a walkway?
• Can the mounting method be removed without damage?
• Are the controls reachable from normal standing height?
• Can the light and panel withstand the stated outdoor conditions?

Test before making the placement permanent

Use a temporary position for several evenings. Check the amount of light, glare, charging location, cable routing, and whether the control is convenient. Then follow the supplied installation instructions for the final placement.
